    We burned some Crabbe, LG, and Eastern Embers last season. They were all very similar. Many thanks to gbreda for recommending those Crabbes. $240 is a good price.

    These are leftovers from last season. They are doing pretty decent though.

    I picked up 4 bags of the Crabbe today for $4.80 each. Have one in the hopper now after burning Timber Heats. The Crabbe are a nice blonde color, similar to Lacrete Negligible amount of fines or dust. These have been burning for 3 hours now. The heat seems to be fine, I don't notice a difference from the Timber Heat, but these definitely produce more ash. The Timber Heat has a light gray fluffy ash, the Crabbe a very dark heavy gritty ash. Not exactly what I was hoping for when I saw the pellets. I was envisioning a burn similar to Lacrete.

    BT Bristol today - I picked up 2 looseys of oakie platinum.

    New kid working there & much friendlier than the other dude... he told me lacretes & spruce had a fire at plant in October... they from same plant??

    Not that I know of. We heard about the La Crets fire. Should be back up soon. But not likely to see pellets until the New Year............
