I just ordered my new drive cable also got the auger cable and a new rubber disk ,got the extra parts just in case it's a 20 yr old machine. All to be here by Friday .

That's great Ray! Way to go... I know the feeling of havin' MM helping too. I'm wrench challenged too and he helped this summer with the JD. Bet you had a ball blowing the snow after all the work you did laying in it.

I had a similar thing happened when I had a rotted fuel line spewing fuel out on the snow blower I could not get out to go get a new fuel line, looked and looked in the shop to find a hose that would fit, got pizzed off went in the house took a break, went back out and look some more and found a hose to work, it was cold the wind was blowing and it was snowing, but at least I was able to push it back into the shed to work on it, even with the doors open it's still blocked most of the wind.
I will surely not looking forward to shoveling 18 inches out of the driveway with a shovel

 

Sunshine and 30 degrees, No storm here, , power went out WTF,

I go outside and find consumers power out on the road, they said there were replacing a switch it took them about 20 minutes and we were back up and running

 

I did see that on the news last night somewhere. Didn't look like it would bring the snow that MA got the other day, thankfully.

 

Gonna get another 8"-12" here tomorrow thru Sat morning with winds again. I think we may stay dry snow (I hope) but the coast may see drizzle/rain with snow. Ugh... that's a lot of weight on top of any roofs not cleaned off. I'd had it yesterday with just the main door clearing here and a little roof raking, and that's with a lot of help. Today I'll go at the back deck and around behind the garage area with the little bitty 5 hoss blower. Deck still has over 24" on it... Gonna start packing some paths around the place with the Suz sometime too, so I can walk around and roof rake. I tried digging and plowing last 2 years. Gonna try riding on top this year and use the front box to bring firewood to the Bilco.

 

We heard the same... a light 3in tomorrow but then potential for a foot of heavy wet snow Monday. I think a foot of that is more of a pain than 2 feet fo the fluffy stuff we got in the Blizzard.... Like I mentioned in the other thread Im getting concerned about clearing the drifts off my roof before more piles on.

 

Stinny, you need to make up an old time snow roller!

 

That would be helpful in deep soft snow like this before dragging. The tracks on the Suz do a pretty good job of packing tho and gives me an excuse to "hafta" do multiple passes...

 

I'm getting a little tired of pushing my banks back!! More coming tomorrow. Some of the weather "readers" put me in the 8-12 range others a little less? It's really starting to add up now! We're in what seems to be an every 3 day storm pattern.
I'm not complaining, I happy to finally see the snow, I just need a snowblower for the tractor 3pt. hitch.
