Is that the kit you bought? The actual SBI kit? The insulated vent may look gawdy, but will keep any condensation from dripping in your home (although it may trap it and keep the insulation wet?).

The parts I used cost less than $30 and look pretty good in my opinion. It's standard 3" flex vent, but is functional. I used a vertical termination cap, but bent it and used a piece of gutter guard screen to keep rodents out.

I can snap pics if you would like.

Yes thats the actual kit I bought. I ended up with Duravent, not sure if thats SBI. We will install it since its recommended by Drolet, but likely replace it next year with something else once we learn the @don2222 "low draft" skill after we learn how to run it efficiently.

    Thanks!

Your stove has 2 blowers for draft. You don't need that skill. Your stove should run on Low for(ever) a long time ;)

My SBI built stove has 2 blowers for combustion and will idle on low all Winter. :)

    No worries there!

Follow up, the ugly OAK is hardly noticeable behind the stove :)

Is the stove running good? You liking it so far? Can you take pics of the side panels?

I have a brand new, in the box, set of side panels for the Enerzone Euromax (same chassis as Eco-65) and wonder if they are the same or would fit?

I have wanted to paint my side panels Navy Blue or a Dark Red to go with the decor of the family room. But the wife is afraid it will look gawdy. .

Love it! I will take pics of side panels this weekend.

I picked a great blue color similar to your walls for the foyer in the home we just sold. It turned out darker at our house and looked fantastic! He loved it and ended up painting all the entire walls instead of only the bottom parts. I would however defer to your wife  I like both both navy and red! If I could get a shiny enamel finish I would do ours red too... DSCF0999.JPG
