The Stihl mower is a rebadged ferris with a few changes made, Briggs and Stratton or option of Kawasaki power. Homeowner all the way up to pro mowers that cost 18-20000

The dewalt mower is just a rebadged cub cadet that they also make in electric and gas. Started to sell dewalt brand when mtd and Stanley/black and decker merged.

Well, Briggs owned snapper and ferris. They still might? Idk. Ex Mark did sue Briggs a few years ago. The suspension system looks different than Ferris, at first glance. I'll need to look a little deeper to confirm or deny.
    Yep. These are dino powered.

Also interesting is that toro well be buying a lot more Briggs engines since the Toro branded Chinese made engines can't be offered any more. Anti dumping laws at play that Briggs won a lawsuit against Toro regarding.

A good friend of mine works for Toro and he was visiting Briggs not too long ago. Kind of funny how this all comes and goes around...
We sue you, they sue them, and in the end Briggs ends up selling more engines.

We have a Sthil RMA 510 V battery powered 21 inch rear wheel drive self propelled lawn mower. It will do everything that our Honda commercial lawnmower would do. Uses the same battery as my Stihl chainsaw. Woodwidow likes it just like the battery chainsaw, it starts every time.

Briggs does still own snapper, simplicity and ferris, the Stihl mower is a ferris with some slight changes and I know this is 100% to be the truth. They’re going to do homeowner ones that start at 4000$ or a bit less all the way up to the 900 series pro with efi Briggs or Kawasaki, full suspension with suspension seat ect for like 18-19000

Thanks for the update! If they can hit the ~$4500 price for serviceable hydro drives and a 50-54" fabbed deck, they will sell a ton.

I think the base models are about 35-3600 but it has a stamped deck pretty sure but I also believe the hydros while a cheaper one do have external filters.

Don't quite understand the hoopla over a stamped versus a fabricated deck. One of my ZTR's has a fabricated deck, the other has a stamped heavy gauge formed deck and both are about the same age and neither has ever had a corrosion issue because they both get their decks pressure washed off a couple times a season and I never cut damp grass with them. I pick the up with the forks on one of my Kubota tractors (stand them on end) and wash any accumulated 'cud' off and I've never painted or coated the undersides with anything. Both are at least 10 years old and both are just fine.

I never sharpen blades either. I change them out every fall and the used ones go in the scrap can.

And about $1k too expensive it seems, compared to the competition of 5600 or so it's the piece. Granted if it has suspension too for that price, then it's not apples to apples.

Well I have a stamped deck on my 1984 Ariens gt17. No rust holes either on it and it's 38 years old, mowed grass for that entire time, originally it mowed about 2 acres, and even mowed field trails on an 8 acre property. Now it's at my house, mowing 1 acre just 1x a week. The stamped holds up just fine, but fabbed are heavier duty. When other brands offer a fabbed deck at the same cost as others with a stamped deck, all other things being equal, I'll go fabbed every time.

The new Stihl mowers make me wonder... if a Stihl chainsaw (and other Stihl equipment) dealer has been selling eXmark mowers for a long time, would it be common for the contract with eXmark (or other manufacturer) to prohibit them from selling Stihl mowers? Or prohibit them from lessening their eXmark floorspace in favor of Stihl mowers? I am thinking of such a dealer and I can't see how he has room to showcase Stihl mowers. Unless he stops showcasing a lot of other stuff! I guess he could always make room for one or two Stihl mowers. He has a bunch of eXmark mowers on the floor.

The Stihl dealer I frequent is also a Gravely dealer. He was the only Gravely dealer until recently when another Stihl/mower dealer started selling Gravely. That dealer sells several mower brands and has a big store and lot. Probably the biggest ope dealer in the city.

Don’t think it will affect anything, where my wife works they sell gravely, cub cadet, ariens, Honda, husqvarna mowers and full line of hand held ope. They also sell Troy built the full line of Stihl hand held equipment and are supposed to start selling the Stihl mowers this spring. I’m thinking this deal between Briggs and Stihl will help both companies a lot. Stihl will now have a zero turn to sell so companies can one stop shop for yard equipment and Briggs will get to sell ferris mowers under the Stihl label through a very large dealer network. I’m more wondering what’s going to happen with the John Deere & Stihl relationship since all Deere dealers are allowed to sell Stihl. Stihls not selling John Deere mowers painted orange and I don’t think Deere will allow the Stihl brand mowers sold at the Deere dealer but we’ll see.
