Wouldn't it be good if stihl made a lawn mower

I guess if so many peole liked the sausage biscuits that you could barely keep them made why do you need to add a steak biscuit:dennis::hair::yes:

Personally do you really think a screw cap with an O ring needs improvement?

Least husky got their flip caps right, stihl botched their over engineered crap caps. Huskys screw in and can run old caps or the new flip caps. Genius IMO.

Now I wouldnt buy their rebranded rider mowers though.

I won't buy another mower unless it's another diesel.

The new fabricated decks are awesome. A lot more for the money (as new tractors go) than just about any other brand.

Of course not. We were making a killing selling replacements for all the over-torqued, stripped out screw-ins! :p:D

I fixed one this afternoon. My neighbor has had one for 20 years (No flippy caps) and he is one of those people who shouldn't have a saw. The thing has great compression and runs good. With his abuse, it runs remarkably well.

Husqvarna owns the companies that produce there mowers, ayp and Dixon. they have decided to do away with the Dixon name for next year.big mistake in my opinion, they are painting them red instead of blue and putting the jonsered badge on them. the fabricated deck tractor with positive traction rear end and kaw engine was a very nice mower and sold well when you could get them in on an order.

JRed on the commercial mowing equipment? :loco:  They should dust off the Yazoo-Keys name if they wanted to paint them red....

That is sad news. Dixon has a very loyal following. My best friends grandpa drove 30miles and by almost all the other brands to get his.

I was shocked when my distributor told me the Dixon name was going away. he was acting all giddy about the mower being renamed. I had to bust his bubble and tell him they will not be sold at my dealership. I will stock the Husqvarna branded dixons because they all know the Husqvarna name inmy area but haven't a clue about the jonsered name. ofcourse he says well they are the same mower. I had to politely explain that if I cant get them to stop and look at the unknown named mower ,I cant explain that its the same machine. i have only sold 3 jonsered saws locally since i started. most of my jonsereds are ported and shipped out. he doesn't seem to want to understand that. he will get the full understanding when I don't make a spring booking order of red machines.

I went to the fair yesterday and seen a Husqvarna badged push mower. It was orange and had the logo but I would say its nothing special. There are only a couple different mower manufacturers.

I was talking about husky riders from 8years ago when I was looking for new. No clue what they have now or quality today or made by who.

8years ago you couldnt have gave me one. Didnt like the way the decks were made and reminded me of the same decks I was seeing on craftsman at the time.

    Thanks for updated info Terry.

Good eye. At that time, the Craftsmans were made by AYP/Husqvarna (remember Roper from back in the Disco era? ;)) and while none of them were awful, they were not the greatest either.
