Would you scrounge a load of logs knowing that you won't able to even start css'ing them for at least six months. A neighbor less than a quarter mile away is having a tree cut down today
Keep your eyes on the prize in terms of your recovery but a strategic log drop never hurt anyone…. I ain’t sayin, I’m just saying. The only time the world makes sense nowadays is when I am splitting firewood
I thought of that I was going to harvest them load my trailer with their dingo and leave it in the trailer till spring. By then I hope to be healed
Update. They dropped the whole tree except for most of the brush in my yard from their own dump trailer.
You poor guy, did you get a dump fee from them? Scores like that are hard to turn down. Congratulations.
I was telling Stephanie it may have been a mistake. Because the temptation to got out a saw is getting harder and harder everytime I see the pile.
Yes, provided I could have them bucked to stove size and stacked/netly stock piled in my postage stamp woodyard/PA. When I'm pressed for space (constant occurance) ill stack rounds for future splitting once a rack opens up. I've had close to four cords of rounds at times. In recent times I've tried to avoid that when possible to lessen handling of rounds to save labor. Split them right off the truck. Is the wood staying at their place or coming to your yard Dave? EDIT: I neglected to read entire thread prior to posting. Good luck Dave. I know it wont be easy looking out the window and not being able to use a saw.
