Great pics of splits. I have splits envy right now. Everything laying around me is round.

Because of my situation and storage, its "easier" for me to split on sight and remove if i can at the time. If i could just cut and haul, id have a LOT more wood on hand. (big honey hole) As we know the SS are the less desirable of the processing tasks.

FINAL INSTALLMENT TO THIS SCORE. Property closed on August 30. I had to get wood out. Went and did an 8 hour day (same pics as my "8 hour day making firewood" All pics from August 25 IMG_0846.JPG
half cord of oak splits. I was going across the street so stacked so it could be unstacked. IMG_0847.JPG
red maple and beech splits on this haul. IMG_0848.JPG One of the last logs i bucked...huge oak. Not enough time to split on sight so i sectioned most to load. IMG_0851.JPG
last load was nuggets and some oak chunks that came home with me.
The wood at my friends. The chunks i ended up splitting yesterday and with the mound of splits, they came back home. IMG_0849.JPG Oak chunks and splits at my friends. I ended up splitting theses yesterday and they came home with me as well as the loose splits. IMG_0850.JPG
when i left. The one log on the left was oak. Tried to roll it with peavey but wouldnt roll. Didnt feel like trying to cut in half and hitting dirt. It was late and i was beat.
Last two pics are when i started in early June. Had this been in the cold weather i wouldve banged it out in no time. IMG_0434.JPG IMG_0432.JPG IMG_0880.JPG
Load of oak splits from the chunks and loose splits i brought home yesterday.

i was at my friends yesterday. He was the one caring/helping the neighbor. I asked about the property (sold 8/30) and he met the buyers at the house last week to retrive a couple things. I guess a lot was left behind as the guy was alone in the house.
The new guy was wearing a tree service shirt (works for/owns one?)so my guess would be he wouldve cut and used it. Big piece of land with a modern metal barn, horse stables, inground pool, very private as well. Ideal for a big wood set up too. You know id be doing that if i owned it. I wouldnt mind, but owning a house is something i no longer desire.
