Got to replace the blade trunnion bale and boss on the blade. Also have to repair the mole board where they ran the cutting edges to low.
He side swiped another truck and busted the mirrors so he decided to make a u turn in the road. Ran the right steer tire off in the ditch at a coilvert and turned in on its side. It's actually worse than the picture shows.
10 years ago we had this one guy driving for us that was a real genius. Our regular box truck was in the shop so we had a Ryder truck for the week. We had some parts to deliver to a vendor up in Massachusetts so we sent Einstein on the road. Well, he decided on his own to swing by his apartment to pick up his GF on the way, so that he could get some action on the interstate. He didn't quite reach his apartment though. About 5 minutes from home, he turned up this road with an 11'6" bridge, trying to race up the hill. The bottom of that bridge peeled the top of the Ryder truck right off like it was opening a can of sardines. The fire chief that was on the scene told our supervisor that in his 30 years on the job, he responded to dozens of incidents with trucks hitting that bridge, but this was the first time someone hit in and made it all the way through. Apparently the genius floored it as soon as he realized what he did, thinking maybe he could just drive away. Pictures of the incident eventually made it onto the Chive website. Ironically, at the time there was an advertisement on that bridge that said "MAKE AN IMPACT" and here's this Ryder truck in the background with a crumpled roof and shrapnel everywhere
That's funny. My dad worked at a place for 30 years and within site of the shop there was a low bridge. Over the years it was hit lots of times. One time a semi with a reefer hit it so fast it peeled the whole top off. It was accordioned up that dad put a rachet strap around it and loaded it in his truck bed. All aluminum, it brought a pretty good penny at the scrap yard.
