IMG_4314.JPG IMG_4315.JPG Gonna move cherry, ash and locust from the rail rack to the shed for this seasons burn-Pics and MM readings to follow later-proof positive that elevation, southern exposure and prevailing winds season wood in less time than generally expected?

Wow that is an awesome set up you have! I have thought about lifting my stacks to allow air flow underneath. I may try it.

I'd like to get a little splitting done today if the rain holds off....also need to go check my game cam, and nip a few branch around my stand. Bow started last Sat. but I am not quite ready yet.

First thing ya gotta remember is that they (casinos) are in the business to make money.....!

But at any rate, it was another visit of donating.

Hope you had a good time even with your losses. Consider it entertainment and keeping the wife happy.

I am at work now and don't have access to the pictures, but the family, and I went to the International Balloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque on Sunday morning. They do, what is called, the Mass Ascension, which is all the balloons get released over about an hour. Wave after wave of awesome hot air balloons until the whole sky across the valley is dotted with balloons. I will try and get a couple pics posted during lunch.

We've thought about attending that some day. It should really be beautiful in that area for sure so long as the wind cooperates.

The wind is one of the main reasons that it happens here. In the valley, at a lower altitude, the balloons are carried South. Once they hit where they want to turn around, they go up in altitude where the prevailing winds carry them back North, and if played correctly, they can essentially land where they took off from. It is ingenious. Pics to come when I get home, I PROMISE!!

I grabbed the biggest piece of every wagon load and split it. Nothing over 16% mc. I'm feeling good about this!

Finished picking corn today. Probably clean the picker up and put it to bed till next year tomorrow. Be nice to get the stalks chopped and baled too.
