Nice work! The heat drove me out of the woods late this morning and it was very hot just after noon. Looks like I need to shoot for being out of there by 10. So much for sleeping in:)

I thought the bugs would've been out but didn't have any after me, maybe it was the smell!

The dead pine is all split but the trail will need some cleanup, hopefully that will happen tomorrow or Tuesday the latest.

I moved some of the pine next to the fireplace and then cleaned up the trail with all the smaller stuff brought over to the fireplace for starting a fire.

We just need some good rains so it is safe enough to burn back here.

For sure you don't want fires where they aren't supposed to be.

Weird. If you had your hazards on thats probably the only way with any vehicle that is modern today will drain the battery with a trailer. Ive never had issues with the trailer being on the cars but sometimes Ive left the trailer on the car until morning with a full load. Mainly because I would get home just way too exhausted to even approach it and it was dark as it gets.

I heard a big thud 100_0495.JPG last night about 10:45 pm, when I checked today it turned out that a big maple branch came off the old tree.

I never knew any stump pulling to be easy, but in your book, it must be easier than a lot of other things you do. You sure do take good care of your acreage. Right tools and a lot of determination have served you well.

This was the cherry branch that fell across the trail weeks back, the trails opened up again.

The tractor with a backhoe sure makes it easier. Gasifier gave me plenty of tips on how to take out the stumps so that made it even easier, I hear that in ole Gasifier 's town ......... they call him stumpy!

I'm so sick of digging stumps and rocks. No excavotors that aren't tied up.

We're all sand on our house lot so that makes the stump pulling easier.

I'm not sure if the work for tomorrow will be splitting or a new trail the wife wants which would be in an area that would allow me to push snow further back in the woods.

Tomorrow I'll have pics of something.
