The shoulder feels the same this morning so that is good. I have a few things that need to be finished up in the garage so it will be ready for the backhoe to be taken off for the winter. After that comes off we can put the sander on the back if needed.

I decided that the shoulder test for today was lifting three 50 pound bags ( floor to waist level) the shoulder felt solid with no pain so far.

I think that I'll check the saws that I usually use and make sure they're ready for some use once the end of next Friday comes around. I'm pretty sure that before my shoulder started have some pain that I had cleaned and hand filed the chains.

yooperdave , what type of temps are you getting and do you have any snow you'll be sending us. The snowmobile trail gates are still locked around here because of the lack of snow.

The trails are open here, though IMO they shouldn't be. Way too many hurting for business. I've been told bars serve food outside. The snow we have had so far has been great for me but poor for snowmo and skiers. Way below our average.

It snowed a little bit the other day and I joked to 99 that I had to retrain myself with the snow shovel! It is so nice not to have to grab a shovel every single time you step outside. The temps have been very mild with highs hovering right around the upper 20's to lower 30's.

Sorry to say, other than some cold temps on those clear nights, that'll be the only thing I can muster up to send out east. :picard:

It's here, 8,12 & 17 for the next three nights which isn't that bad.

I heard that we could be in for a Polar Vortex at the end of next week, with Lake Ontario pretty much still void of ice, someone could get a chit load of snow.

The first year in our house, that winter we didn't have enough room for the snow when I was plowing with the truck, by spring the lower part of the driveway was full of snow. The driveway was pretty small when spring hit.

We have plenty of room for snow inventory but no snow, since you bought the new plow, it's 99 fault for giving you the go ahead and the lack of snow.

Today was spent cleaning up an area in the basement that had old computer monitors, scanners and printers that were there from many years ago. The one monitor was a 21 incher and felt like an old TV when picking it up but the shoulder still feels good so I might move some chainsaw work up to Wednesday of the coming week. Since the computer chit is gone, I can finish putting up the rest of the tongue and groove pine.

I'll start with some smaller dead pine in a certain area that once taken down, will make the trail wider.

Just noticed the new thread for 2021. I have been spending time elsewhere since Nov. 3rd.

We put in two small trailer loads, one of Cherry and Ironwood wood today, with the Cherry we have inside along with the Cherry we put in today, that should get us through the week. This week we'll put in a bunch of Ash and some bigger loads of Ironwood so we're ready if we get the cold they're calling for.

The last four pictures will be the area that some smaller dead Pine will come down that will widen the trail in that area.

You know, I honestly don't remember asking her what she thought about it. I just said I'm getting a plow this year.

She was wondering what I was going to do with the snowblower, though. I'm sure she's thinking of rummage sale fodder!

Temps will shift to a little cooler side along with snow by the end of the week here.

We'll see if the Lake Effect they're talking about for the Watertown area when the cold comes in, shifts far enough north that it hits us.

There's a little bit of a breeze this morning. Enough of one to make it uncomfortable for the walk.

I finally took the backhoe off the 4540 today but cleaned up the floor of the garage before. Everything fits in there good with plenty of room between the tractor, workbench and four wheelers.

Next year the workbench will come off the backwall which will give us more room depth wise. The workbench will go on the sidewall where we have some storage shelves at the moment but those will be moved to the backwall but higher up so it won't affect our plans to store the 3 point sander and the plow for the RTV which will go underneath the first storage shelve for the summer.

Thanks Haftacut , we have a total of six different areas for hardwood and a separate area that holds 12 face cord of shoulder season wood.

We usually have four or just over of those filled with hardwood but with the painting I did and the Dupuytren's contracture I had taken care of, we'll have three plus years of wood when this burning season is done.

Each spring I usually cut 12 face cord and then go for another 12 in the fall, this years fall cutting never happened because of the trail work and dead pine removal I did. Hopefully the shoulder keeps getting better, tomorrow will be the first time I'll run the saw since something happened.

I used the tractor to move the utility trailer out of a snow storage area and up into the woods. I also moved a splitter next to that trailer which gives me more room for plowing in front of the house where the splitter was.

Sounds like you have a good plan for ensuring your stacks say stocked well! My father in law has dupuytrens but hasn’t had it released yet. Happy with it since having it done?

Yes I am, at the end of February I can stop wearing a brace at night for the affected finger.

They injected the affected area with Xiaflex an you go home for two days, after the two days go by, you go back and they freeze that area (wait ten minutes) and then place your hand palm down on the table and press down. There was a huge pop and everything was over until rehab and the exercises at home.

The doctor told me that the way mine came out, that it was one of the better out comes. He said each one comes out different.

Sounds like technology may have come a long way in the last 10 years or so since he last saw the doctor for his. I know it would have been surgery at that time if it had been bad enough. I’ll have to let him know about this non surgical approach if it got bad enough that he needed some sort of intervention. Thanks for sharing:handshake:
