I'm not sure what our high was but a guess would be 84 or 85.

I finished stacking the last load of ash this morning from yesterday in picture 3038, I'll finish this stack with the ash from the hill in the back.

Hopefully after the above stack is full, we'll still have another face cord with the rest of the ash, maple and beech we have.

We still have another two or three face cord that will be going up after the above is done.

Today were at 81 with a RealReel of 90 with a forecast high of 85 today. We need rain, lets hope that we get the 0.75 inches of rain on Monday.

Impressive as always, brother. Neat stacks. Way to hustle. We're in the mid 80's today.

Thanks T.Jeff Veal , they were smaller ash trees but that made easier when splitting. These hot temps are early for us but we have cooler weather coming in starting tomorrow.

We have a slight chance for severe weather but these areas could get hit.

We haven't gotten much split so far this year. We did get all the hickory we had on hand s/s in the shed. I think it's about 3-3.5 cords 0419221728_HDR.jpg

Nice work and it looks great, how much firewood in log form do you have? I've seen some nice size trailer loads that you posted.

Thanks, Zap. I think we are hauling around 1+- cord on each load. Should have 12-13 cords of oak, I think

Thanks buZZsaw BRAD , the ash is a nice splitting wood. Once I get the maple out and stacked, it will be time I start splitting the beech in the pictures.

I still have a pile of Ash Elm and Cherry logs that will keep me busy for some time, guessing 2 cord maybe.. I have enough cut and split Cherry to finish this row..

I see Wouldsplitter had some loads of wood that a tree service dropped off for free, it reminded me of this basswood I worked on back in 2009 or later.

I was told since our lot had better firewood on it that it wasn't worth the time but like usual, I didn't listen. I used some for kindling, shoulder season wood and some ended up making some nice dirt.

I remember that I started cutting from the top down, once most of the top was cut the heavier end took off down the hill which caused what was left of the top to come up the hill just missing me by about a foot. 100_0243-1.jpg
