I've been wearing Rocky boots for the last couple of decades. I'm only on my second pair. I do think I'll be buying a pair of thorogood boots soon though. They are made in Wisconsin and the outlet store is on my way to the cottage where my mom lives in the Northwoods.
I run Red Wings for work (5-7 days 10-14 hour days on concrete floor at 260lbs )... I buy a new pair about every year, been like this for about 13-14 year?... When my feet, ankles and lowers legs beg for forgiveness its usually about the year mark.. They are most comfortable boots I've found. I've tried to resole, but they didn't come back with the "cushion" that a new pair had. Prior to that I was using Justin work boots replacing every 4-6 months...... Plus the customer service at the local red wing store know me and I've only had one "Bad" pair that they gladly replaced.
