If this needs to go somewhere else I can take it down. Just my shop and as you can see in this picture my chimney needed to be taller. I added 3 ft to it today and Im hoping for better draft. I also need to make some home made supports as soon as my job is done. I was told you guys don't mind pictures.

Hey mat60 , welcome aboard. That's one way to put it, sure. Or, we LOVE pics is another. Nice shop, and I really like that workbench. Does it lift? For your flue pipe, I pilfered this............. "1) your stack must be 3' foot above where it exits the roof on the high side minimum. 2) it must also be 2' above anything within 10' in any direction (excluding vent pipes etc)" I think you're ok on #1, but a bit short on #2. See how it runs since you already added some pipe. What stove?
This bench doesn't lift but I have another I work from. As far as number 2 Im hoping its better looking forward to trying it tomorrow. Its something that has needed doing for quite a while. I have a hot blast and it likes wood but will burn anything. Thanks for the info.
Welcome to FHC. We always like pictures. There are lots of woodworkers here and many others that like to see projects. I'm jealous of your shop space. I only have a small area to work and shift tools on roller bases. I have a big cabinet restoration in process that I will post up when it nears completion.

They are scattered all about. If you look in the DIY threads ans up in the sawyer room there are a bunch of projects and renovations by a lot of members. All sorts of woodworking from turning, mortise and tenon work, live edge projects and some carving.
I'm an old tool collector to a small degree. I picked up an early Delta scroll saw from the local scrap yard and located missing parts on the internet. It was a fun project and it is built well. It still needs the belt guard and base, but I am not a purist for restorations. It is at the good enough stage. 24" throat.
I bet that would be great just the way it is and to get something new with a 24 inch throat would be costly. I bet you enjoy your hobby. Thanks for sharing.
Just came in for lunch. This morning was a great time to see if there would be any improvement in my stove because it was raining, not very cold and windy. As said I added 3ft to my chimney and cleaned the rest of it including the stove pipe and inside the stove. I also installed new door gaskets. Now I must say all I have for wood is 1/2 season oak if its that good. I don't no the moisture of it because the MM I use for work only goes up to 20%.. Before today I was having to run with my ash door open all day with this wood and weather just to keep the fire going . I would also get a little smoke in the shop and allot out the chimney. I must say that what little I did made a big difference. I do no Im not going to get allot of heat out of green wood but it sure does burn better. I must admit I haven't been able to get my wood two years ahead and to be honest I have 2 cord of green Ash coming Im going to try to burn. I also want to say I like it here. Thank you.

Just a few ideas for sourcing wood. We have a pallet company that puts out scraps in a bin down here for the taking. Do you have any companies putting out pallets? There are several fence companies around here that have bins out front. Mostly old dry white cedar posts and slats. I also see free wood fencing on Craigslist here and there. It sounds like you are going in the right direction with the flue pipe.
Looks like you have a good setup there and do some nice work. I'm a novice woodworker....actually carpenter is probably a better word for my skill level. I'm not real good at some of fine woodworking type stuff. I made this box a while back just to see if I could. Not bad...but not great.
To be honest I haven't been looking but your idea sounds like something I should look into. I have burned some nice pallets that tools and such came on but never looked for then. Thanks for the ideas jon.
