Little bowl Miss July has been working on. (About 9 inches)
Black birch tree that uprooted on neighbor's property.

Cut into bowl blanks and sealed 1 year ago

Very nice work to everyone. My dad gave me an old lathe last summer, and I got the itch. I recently bought a nice jet and I am now living life. Still learning a lot. I was all set for two turning events and both have been cancelled. Any of you hear Syracuse NY? Again, great job to all and very nice work.

    ..wow... what a find.
    What is a firewood ministry?

The black birch bowl is beautiful.

What kind of lathe do you have?
    How big?

John, Cristy and their crew from New Life Alliance Church give firewood away to locals that can't afford to heat. (55-110 cords per year. Cut split and delivered)

Thank you. I was really happy with how it turned out! It was a wedding gift for my nephew.

    Rikon 12 1/4"
I'm hoping some day to upgrade to a 16" so i can make bigger bowls. Its hard to get bigger than 11" on a 12" lathe
