    Anyone ever turn sassafras?

I was just offered some 6”-7” diameter sassafras logs.

    Amazing!
Do you sell any of your work.
I would love to have a piece like that. If you ever have any you would like to get rid of, please get in touch.

I haven’t yet tried a burl but I want to. Heck, I just started turning bowls this winter for that matter.

You’re in Georgia? I just passed through Cleveland and Dahlonega Georgia to visit friends last month. I rode my Honda Silverwing from here in northwest Virginia to the Florida Everglades and back in November.

Just as well you didn't know about the burl then. Kind of a stretch to carry that burl back north on your bike!:D

Yep, middle part, between Macon and Augusta. Been to Cleveland several times, worked in Dahlonega for months. Look us up next time you plan on coming down this way.

Do they make a wood hauler trailer with stake sides for a motorcycle?

If I took the roof top tent off my motorcycle trailer frame, I have no doubt I could trailer that burl and branch home with my motorcycle. But … I’m not going to do that lol!
