Heating about 3300 Sq ft in a split level house with a progress hybrid in southern Missouri. I’ve burned about 3-4 cord per year average over last few years heating 90+% with wood. Cold weather (sub zero) it has a hard time keeping temp up in distant parts of the house (normal for wood heat) I can easily burn a full rick (1/3 cord) black walnut in 3-4 days. When I’m using elm or oak it does a lot better much less ash to deal with. You need really dry wood to get it to heat well!!! First 2 years I’ve delt with subpar wood, this year I should be in my best shape yet and looking really good for 2020/21
Other thing I’d suggest is get a second catalyst and simple swap them out hot so you don’t need to cool off stove at an inopportune time.
