For those of you not near Maine, there's a very cool (and old) fair that still really holds on to it's agricultural roots. I like Monday's, it's always "woodsman" day. Skidder races, log truck comp. (loading & unloading) a ton of shiney new equipment to drool over and all sorts of sawing compettion. Here are a few pics to give you the flavor of the fair. The old chainsaws are part of the "museum" that is full of old ag tools of the trade.
I'm getting carried away with pics, I'll put the old saws on another post in the saw & epuip section.

It cost me Gas, been looking at one of these grapples every year at the fair for at least 5 years. This one came home with me.
Again, so much for "saving money" burning wood:rofl:

A man has to have a hobby. One that keeps him happy is priceless!

I'm going to hang it off of the winch I built for the tractor.

That looks like a really cool event. Wish they had something like that around here. Guess I'll just have to settle for the wool festival.

Gas I'm ahead on the burning wood vs. overhead for stove, saws, splitter.
When the house is paid off and I go buy an Orange tractor - it'll be a while before I recoup that

I love the Freyburg fair. It's been several years since we've been. I'd love to get back there next year.

Ya, but the things you can do and the fun you can have with the tractor is unreal! And if I had to pay someone to come to my property and do all the things I have done with that tractor I could have bought three nice used tractors with that cost! Ha!
