Thanks everyone for the encouragement. You’ve all made some great points. No buddies with trailers unfortunately. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I would consider getting a trailer, setting up a ramp, and winching it up onto the trailer. Secure boards at the base of the dog kennel to keep the base from flexing. Secure the kennel to the trailer with a few heavy duty ratchet straps. Just a thought.

Edit; just saw your last post about not having a trailer. Maybe renting one would be cost effective.

    Yep.
Not sure about where you're at but around here you can rent one cheaply for the day (under $50). Same with pickups, big box stores or private people may rent theirs out (not positive on the price for that though).

How's the dog kennel saga going, Jiminy? I just saw your pic on your other thread. So, you got it dismantled. Did you get that roof home in one piece?

I cut my (work/effort) losses and took the cut up sections of the roof to the dump. It was a bummer but I needed to make progress. I saved the rafters, and of course the rest of the kennel. I’ll use corrugated steel roofing panels instead…I already have more than half of what I need.
