Anyone try these yet? Southern Maine Renewable Fuels supposedly has them in stock for those curious types. Wood & Sons
Think these are the T&D pellets from the new mill in Sanford. Luney has burned some and I burned a few bags as well. 100% softies (white pine), they are good - would buy again. Note they bridge in the hopper, hope the mill is working on their recipe / process to improve that.
I have about 6 bags left of a ton that I purchased and if in fact they are T&D I liked the heat and loved the ash content as it was low, was mixing them with Okie Plats for 2 reasons stop the funneling and less ash. I hope it is them and they fix em as I would love to support another company from Maine.
Hi, Been running these pellets in my Harmon Absolute 43 with success. I think the company has been working and product development as they are pretty new. It is sourced, according to their website from local mills right around where we live which is nice. The ash content is extremely low with not a lot of fines. Length is consistent and heat output seems good as well. Picked up 3 tons so we'll see how they run this winter.
Same price here. Grabbed a ton from Robbins in the spring. Can’t wait to give them a good long test this winter.
Larry, there is a supplier in Lisbon Falls that was doing an early buy this spring and had them priced at $260. SIB is selling them at $289 delivered..
thank you my friend. I also noted that on their web site, they show Paris Farmers in Winthrop as a dealer.
Thanks for that info. I don't usually pay much attention to what they carry because of their pricing, but that's worth looking into. I do know they have MWP and at least one other brand, but they are $5 above SIB on the MWP's without any delivery costs.
I have to tell you that I weigh performance, price, and service when I drop my money down for pellets. That is why I have stuck with SIB and the MWP's. I already have my mid winter delivery arranged with SIB.
I have 2 tons being delivered on Friday from Steve/James. I have a ton of Platinums in the basement and will haul more Platinums from Rocky's after my garage gets jacked and a slab poured later this fall.
