Got the 2x8x14 joist put up yesterday evening after work. Got to get a few hanger ties and will be able to put rafters on. Hmm...won't be long maybe. 0623202116.jpg

Got started on the shed while had some shade this morning. Checked my stash of metal roofing, had enough.
Just have to change the name to calico shed... 0629200824_HDR.jpg Then had enough 2x6's that we saved from our deck when we built on the laundry room to make the rafters. 0629201019_HDR.jpg
Got 3 more rows to tie down. Then strips and metal. 0629201252.jpg

We finally got the calico shed finished, thank you, JESUS.
Got the rafters finished Thursday evening, then started on the 1x4 strips Friday morning 0703200940.jpg 0703200942.jpg Our friend, Mike came up and helpd get the boards and metal roofing up to me. 0703200942_HDR.jpg Feeling like a champ now... 0703201019_HDR.jpg Starting on the panels... 0703201145_HDR.jpg Almost done... 0703201216a.jpg
Roof done 0703201240.jpg It's a hoarder's shed almost...lol...I did have to buy some lumber, but most of the floor was equipment skids, the walls are free pallets, the rafters are 2x6 decking from our old deck, 1x4's from my sister's roof job we did last year, the green metal is left over from our house we did 3 yrs ago, the brown metal we got cheap from the metal roofing place, and the blue screws came from our son's house we just did. 0703201244_HDR.jpg

Great job on the framing and roof Jeff. You always wanted to get up in the world!
At least you were closer to God! One of the job's benefits! Cant wait to see it with some wood in it.

pallets or any other kind of wood placed right on the ground will rot. In mine I have 2X4s 10” apart running left to right across the entire floor to stack on. BUT only after I leveled it well and placed them on paving stones to keep them off the ground and any moisture. I also put down a thick 4” layer of sand
