Dry wood might help too. ;). At least there's no chimney to get a fire in or attached house to burn down.

That first row full to the top sure is gratifying. Every row after that is awesome too.

I use my Bostitch Strap nailer with metal connector nails. But have used 10 penny hot dipped galvanized nails also.

I'll need to look what facia board is going for now. That would finish it off a bit.

I read the whole thread !
The terminology drove me Nuts at times :hair:
    It looks AWESOME !!!
I tend to build Strong. That's why I got a sawmill. Buying lumber drives me batty. And I've had to buy too much of it building our house.

I plan on building a quick woodshed this season.
We have 2 seasons here. Frozen and thawed out.
Our firewood will fully season over the thawed out season. And will dry out a good bit if it's under cover.
I'm thinking I will saw 2 sides of a bunch of the poles I'm bringing home from the burn.
But the roof HAS to be HEAVY DUTY. !
50 + lbs per square foot snow load rated. I wish I had 2 or 3 of me to get all the work done that I need to get done this season.

I saw that you read it all by the likes I got:thumbs:

Thank you! I like it a lot. I did a bit more work on filling it today for 2023-24.

I ended up filling the second row all the way to the top of the roof with what was in the dump cart. The stack on the right of the shed that I just split was what filled most of the second row. As I went to take a yard trailer full of dirt and stump grindings off to the end of my lot, I brought that trailer full of small rounds. That's all ash that will be easily dried by Fall of '23.

The pile on the right of the shed might get another row, the third, filled. I've also got about 2 dump carts of Norway maple splits from my neighbors tree I cut up last summer or fall?? I can't recall exactly.

Music. I put my UE megaboom speaker on the tool tray of the tractor ( left fender) and I have the music follow me. The phone mount was a funny thing I did when I got my truck and sold the Audi. The phone mount from the Audi wouldn't work in the truck where I wanted to put it. So I got a new mount for the truck with a wireless charging pad built in, and for S's &G's I put the old mount on the tractor hood. Figured with my phone there, I couldn't lose the phone, or worse, drop a log on it.

Well it worked, and it works well. I can answer a call easily, skip a track, play a different album or playlist, all without fumbling for my phone. It's really quite slick. One of my battery charging packs fits in the base, pretty much perfectly, and my phone was low on power, so that's another reason.;)

More people should do the same so they don't get lost in their yard while mowing.
