In the winter what's destined for the house gets covered that way to keep the snow off. In the spring the tarps get rolled up so they only cover the tops of the piles.

Looks like Im making a trip to Northern this weekend. I havent bought any new tarps yet cause they get trashed and cost way to much at Lowes. I never thought to look at Northern.

Just ordered the 8x32 from Northern Tool, $27.48 including shipping. Good price considering it will cover $800 worth (4+ cords) of wood.

Not a great discount but, I was going to menards today, to get a 6" chimney brush, that's why I found it, anyway, picked up 4 tarps , I can tell, they are not as heavy or as good quality as the other ones in the links but, there was no shipping added, they are the right size, and will last a couple of years .
I have been trying to scrounge up something better than tarps , but so far haven't scored anything, so for now tarps it is.
