I use tarp. Nothing like sprucing up the place and making it look rich than plastic tarps. It should add thousands to my bottom line if I go sell this place.

Before getting the wife's input about the woodshed...

After getting marching orders from the boss inside headquarters... siding matches house, I have to agree that it does look nicer although the tarps would probably still be there if it wasn't for the wife's prodding. Happy wife, happy life.

Many large Spax lags were added to the flooring supports after the first winter's wood was used up as the 22 penny pole spikes initially installed didn't seem quite as strong as I thought they would be. No problems since. Seeing as how it could get loaded with over 21,000 lbs. of Locust and Ironwood, I figured it could use all the beefing up I could come up with... LOL

Wife's happy with the look now.

Nice looking shed! With a little gentle prodding you finally made the decision to do what she had in mind all along! Consider yourself "Managed":D!

You should have sprulged on the tarps and gotten the camo ones. Then it wouldnt stick out as much

would she rather see the wood stacks, or a stack of outrageous gas or electric bills? My wife just sort of accepts it, and enjoys spending the extra 2 or 3 thousand a year wood heat saves us.

You know, I bought a couple of camo ones, and in the sun, the colors faded to light blue in a matter of weeks! And, flakes and sheets of plastic laminate started coming off. Maybe there are better brands. These were photorealistic 6x8's, an impulse purchase at a tourist trap.

Relocate stacks to a less obvious area in the yard. You'll probably end up with a farther hauling distance once you bring the wood inside, but.....

then you can sit her down and tell her about the new tractor you need! :handshake:

    You're welcome.

Here’s a strange one I just saw. US military surplus tent bottom auction. 32’x20’ looks like heavy rubberized billboard tarp material. Was at $30.
Course it’s in Las Vegas. Shipping would be a beotch.

I have learned a few things, over the years, but it's definitely a moving target... They are all unique and always looking for new traps for us... BEWARE!!! Every man for himself...

My neighbor bought a camo tarp to replace the blue one on my stack closest to his driveway. He tried to sneak over to trade them out. I saw him, and went out and ribbed him about it, and to thank him. He picked the right way to handle a situation he didnt like!

Well, just as you said, MW, the top layer peeled right off, and it quickly faded to a brighter and uglier tarp than the blue one.

I also put a silver heavy duty one out, and it actually stands out way less than the blue or green cheap ones I have.
