John, afraid we won't make it down.

Chazsbetterhalf reminded me today that she has an appt at Buffalo VA on Saturday.

Perhaps the third edition will be the one.

Ok all you wood cutting enthusiasts, tomorrow is supposed to be AWESOME wood cutting weather. No rain, high of 65ish partially sunny/cloudy with slight breezes. I hope some of you can make it. It should be a good day for a GREAT cause. Last year we supplied free firewood to approximately 9 poor families completely for free, approximately 4 families for a SUBSTANTIAL discount like $30 for 1/2 cord. Some of our families are veterans and others have disabled family members. We have also given away a load here and there to those who stop and ask for a load. This year we anticipate even more families as I have had A LOT of facebook messages, texts and phone calls asking about our wood ministry. So, a BIG thank you to those who can make it here tomorrow to cut. See you tomorrow.

blacksmith and i will be out sometime mid/late morning, we have two maples to take down in Altoona, which will result in a trailer full of wood that we can bring out and donate to the cause.....

Not sure how long we will stay but we will be there at some point.

Waiting to see the ant colony at work. Just recently seen what these guys can do after a big tree was taken down. They were impressive.

I didnt get any pics. my phone went dead.:hair:
We cut about 14 cords between 7am and 12...not too bad for 9 people. Can't wait to meet again and split it all.

Thank you John and Christie for you're ministry!

Work for me...but load reeeaaalllyyy slow due to being full size.
For those posting pics here on FHC, "attach as a thumbnail" makes things run much faster/smoother for those of us with slower internet service (and less data used if on a limited plan) :handshake:

Sorry guy's that we missed you. Me and Scotty got out there around 2:00. We were cutting down two maples this morning. We took a heaping trailer and truck load out and dropped it off at John's. We stayed and chatted awhile then had to head back and finish cleaning the job up.

    Maybe next time!
