I've done it a few times with a Coleman lantern on the tailgate of the truck with my son running the splitter while I put the logs on. It got the job done.
I love splitting at night, I have some good barn lights plus one of those cheapy 1000 watt towers from Lowes, like 35 bucks I think. And after the time change, a lot of my splitting will be at night. And cooler recently as its been warm during the day
Never thought much about night splitting until it was talked about on here a few years back.....bought a double tower halogen and it works good if you just can't stand coming home in the fall and nothing can be done.
