That I have no doubts on... I watched a film on someone who lived his life on a farm and recalled his hand was likely disfigured from that saw. Peter and the farm for reference...
Or on the front; depending on the tractor. We had a good one that mounted on the front of a Farmal Super M. Wish I still had that one.
Some are made with amazing guards that really make it safe but most had none (like ours). Still even though I knew dozens of folks who used buzz saws I never knew anyone to get seriously harmed. Maybe a small cut or bruise but that's all....fortunately.
Thanks clemsonfor! I don’t know of anyone who uses one but the idea is that I’m still in between the use of a chainsaw versus that. Even chopsaws have their limits. Nice to cut something down to small stove length or even bbq friendly but the saw will eventually stop cutting usually since it’s either carbide tipped or dull. I know I run my blades through some nails, they usually are the cheaper blades. Not worried about them too much. Do the buzz saws tend to push back on the cutter? They just seem to look like the saw is going wicked fast or just the cut wood flies?
