Kevin. This boiler I have had 3 ports. Qty 2. 3/4 supply and return and Qty 1. 1 1/4. Should I put the boiler on edge of concrete floor so in the future I can add pipe or would you pull in 3 and bring them to a termination spot in a hand hole?

I'm not sure I am following what you are asking. My stove had 2 "sets" of possible runs and I just used one. My big mistake was not running the second line through the floor when I poured it. Had so many things going on I just plain forgot to do it as I would have used that to heat my shop with an overhead radiator. Will do it someday but it means moving the stove, busting the concrete hole in the floor and sidewall, not fun.

I did a monolithic pour with rebar in the floor. Smooth bore field tile(Hi-Q) makes pulling lines or changing them a breeze.

Poured here anfd you can see where the pipes will go. Shop in the background.

    Block sidewalls being put up.

Cathedral trusses to lift in and out and 2x4's attached for screwing siding on.

Front face is wood sections and everything is screwed in place. Small walk in door section stays and stove can be lifted out with it in place.

Big door is wide enough to back a pick up into. The height of the floor is higher so you can walk into the bed with ease.

    [IMG][IMG]

Stacking to the ceiling is labor intensive.

    Easy unloading with this design.

You really want the pipes going underground. You don't want them being walked on or in the way. As I said earlier, smooth bore field tile makes any changes possible and Run an extra pull rope through there too. Make sure to have the lines in place before pouring.

On your last question. You are connecting to an existing system? Do you want to keep it as a backup? If so put in a heat exchanger so the fluids never touch each other. This is what I did. I run my existing oil furnaces circulating pump 24/7 and the thermastats open the 3 way zone valve to let the exchanger work. My stoves pump runs 24/7 too as I do the hot water with it as well. Have a side arm on that but I plumbed so one valve shuts it down and electric is turned on when the stove isn't in use in the Summer.

    Hope this makes sense.

Where are you putting the flue through? If you use a section of the insulated double/triple wall pipe it will help.

Not a great pic but I used single wall stainless up so far then it goes to the insulated stuff when passing through the roof. The insulated sections are held in place by tying straps and clamps I made that are attached to the trusses.
