My wife is happy to help me with firewood. We cut and burn about 10 full chords a year. We have a splitter, and I would guess she splits 1/3, I split 1/3, and my kids split 1/3. I do all the cutting and loading. I have a tractor with a bucket and a dump trailer so it is not to bad a job.
Ms. buZZsaw helped me load the truck once years back. Other than that i do all the wood work. She keeps the fire going as she is home most of the time. She has back issues and even without, id be a bit nervous if she did!
My wife doesn't help and really I tell her not to. She teaches music and plays the piano. All she needs is a pinched or broken finger. With her luck it will happen. Besides with 2 boys, one a teen and other preteen in house, she shouldn't need to.
