Well, I went to DC, and glanced at the Wittus, which was admittedly very cool (hot!), but I was a bit preoccupied with other pursuits to answer your question. NW Walker and Backwoods Savage both spent a lot of time there, maybe they could comment.
I remember talking a lot to the fellow and was impressed with his stove and idea. He has some good information on the website that should answer questions. I have to say I was impressed with most of the stoves but to comment on what was discussed is difficult. Needless to say, we talked to hundreds of people. Glad we went.

I remember this stove and a little of the conversation that I had with the guy about it. I found it to be a very interesting design that put out a lot of heat. Its almost like an upside down stove in that the firebox is on top and it drafts down. He demonstrated it for me showing it to me in regular mode and bypass mode. In regular mode you have a basic firebox with the flames being pulled straight up but when you bypass it the flames are pulled down into the lower combustion chamber. You can see this in the movie on their website. Its a very nice compact little stove it doesnt take up a lot of space but I dont think it would heat a very large space. They say up to 1000 sq ft Im guessing that would be in a studio apt maybe but probably not a house that might be a stretch but who knows. It seems like its a very well built little heater though and I would buy one if I had a large garage or space to heat. Also Im not sure how well it would do for overnight burns it has a pretty small box and I cant remember what the guy told me it could do but with some properly seasoned wood it should be a pretty good little heater. I hope this helps also Ive got a pamphlet around here somewhere from them if your interested Ill try to find it and get it to you but it probably says the same stuff it does on the website.
Matt, I think he told me that a larger one is in the works but don't remember for sure. I did like the stove.
Yes its a very interesting stove I really enjoyed talking to the guy about it and seeing how it works. I would like to see a larger one that would be really nice.
