Where did you mount the box that plugs into the sensor ports? So it’s pretty much a plug and play?

The Skytech3301P unit is supposed to be a good one.

Velcro'd it to the back right side of the hopper. Yeah it's pretty easy to install and program. There is also the 3301P2 which has a backlit LCD screen but I have no issues reading the regular 3301P display.

So you just take that black box and plug it into the room sensor port and hit learn?

True but Harman does have a technical support doc that explains how to run their stove on one of those Wireless T-Stats or WiFi Thermostat :)

not really.......they have a tech document for a wired situation with a couple different thermostats, but Ive never seen anything for wireless. Query your local Harman dealer.

You can wire several types of t-stats into your stove, a wireless one is just a receiver/transmitter set-up that works similar to a wired version; difference is the wireless receiver sits close to the stove (usually right behind it) and communicates (wireless) with the remote located t-stat control. No matter if you want to go wireless or wired, the room sensor needs to be in series with the t-stat for proper operation. You will need a milivolt t-stat (several different types & brands available), such as a LUX or
Honeywell for wired or the Skytech for wireless. If you are uncomfortable with the install (wired involves running a two conductor t-stat wire to the t-stat location as long as you use a battery t-stat) , get the dealer involved, but really not that difficult for the average Joe.
