Well, a foot of snow, some sleet and freezing rain and things look a lot different up north. Too deep for the quad, so the sleds came out this weekend. I used the Panther to haul the wood around today. I should have gotten a solid hitch setup years ago. ‘’

The toboggan is a Pelican and I bought it to pull by hand (pre owning sleds). As you can see, looks a bit small behind the snowmobile! But it worked well for today.

This generation of Arctic Cats have a center post on the rear grab bar. I had to mount the universal hitch off to one side. Works fine and tracks straight. Cat made an OEM hitch that fits over the center post. It looks real nice. It’s also $150 plus vs this universal one which was about $30 + hardware.

The wood we hauled today. Which ironically was wood we hauled with the quad last week!

Even hauled a bit of brush out of the yard from the storms last week.

Have you ever tried skidding logs with the snow machine?

I have not. Could be an interesting option if I had a way to keep the front of the log off the snow.

I usually bring a skidding cone (the yellow item in the Otter sled) when heading out to scrounge with the snowmobile. Makes a world of difference when skidding logs. Snowshoes are another must.

That’s cool! I never knew those existed.
