Ugh. No AC in that thing for awhile. At least you made it home. I kept looking for you in our rear view mirror, but we left you far behind.
I kept eyeing that glass through cut outs as we loaded. Sorry that happened! If it’s any consultation, I enjoyed working with you getting it loaded. Good luck with the decision. Truck sounded like a beast to me.
yeah, once we got into the windy hills you put some distance between us. Those roads wernt bad on the way in, but with the load on the way out, it was a handful! Then I ended up with someone in a Subaru in front of me going way too slow for a while.
Thanks, I really appreciated the help! What happened was something shifted inside, and when I pulled the window down, it hit the metal and shattered. For a stock diesel, it really does sound like it has some snot.
Sorry my bad luck rubbed off on you - I started the day with a seized alternator on the Explorer that smoked the belt while I was getting it started to come the the GTG. AND that folks, would be why I keep 2 vehicles . At least I was able to get the truck to the shop, they shuttled me home, and the driveway was good enough to get my little car up it. Had a great time and was happy to get to meet some of you'uns for the first time. Way too much food. I brought a couple of pieces of chicken home with me so I should be set for meals for a couple of days (I'm still stuffed from lunch).
Only took a couple of pics while waiting for coals to develop - Molly does a much better job of making sure to show that it DID happen
If there was one thing to take away from todays G2G, its the knowledge that WeldrDave REALLY loves New Jersey.
Well I planned on staying over last night and going to WeldrDave but home duty (read wife) changed those plans. Work in progress but let’s just say we have a deck that covers an alcove on our breezeway. Ripped deck off a month ago, so far I have the new pcv door frame in, 12 feet of sill replaced, 16 feet of sheathing replaced and a 3x8 sheet of underpayment in he breezeway all done. Tomorrow got some more sill to do and a bunch more sheathing. Ice and water shield is getting used up big time this time.
