They typically get dirt into that seal and cause leakage. Make sure you get the latest and greatest seals. You will be needing some snap ring pliers. If you give me the model number is can attach some service manual pictures.

Canadian border VT I love the quote "yep, stupid is covered." Good on them for sticking by it. Which reminds me, since I will be running it in the woods with alot of trash vegetation, stump, logs and boulder, I should be looking a armoring the the underside with skid plates, etc.

We've replaced a few brand new engines under warranty with less than an hour on them

So get the Super seals vs just regular old seals? Is their superior dirt resistance worth the extra moula? :) :emptywallet:

I have tried my best to keep those knuckles clean from day one. You can just glance at them and see that eventually they will leak after the grit works its way into them.

It's a 3130. I have a big honkin pair of ratcheting snap ring pliers. What's the max diameter of those rings? I think I'm good up to 3-1/2"

It's just amazing. Any thread can eventually morph into an "Oil Thread". Not that there's anything wrong with that. I like to hear what people with experience have to say.

For your viewing pleasure. For whatever reason I could not get into an L series book. This should be the same.

Basically, you take the hub all apart, remove the snap ring for the swivel, and drive the swivel out of the bearings.

Easy way to solve that. Make sure your stumps are cut as low as possible, and know what you're driving over before you go there. I keep my tractor strictly on trails unless I get off and scout the area first.
