Why Winter Drivers Need To Slow Down.............

Wow, That was one horrific video. I kept thinking the mother and trooper were going to get run over. That is some scary stuff. I always had winter tires on my cars (mostly FWD) when I had a 40 mile one way commute. Had a couple close calls where the tires kept me from t-boning a car spun out in front of me to having to drive on the grass with a foot of snow around stuck cars. The worst were 4wd SUVs. They'd be off the interstate sitting in the woods with their headlights aiming back at the road They always Seemed to wind up bassackwards in the woods.

Winter/snow designated tires are the way to go. RWD, FWD or AWD. They make your vehicle able to stop in shorter distances than all season tires. And to me it's more important to be able to stop than just being able to go.
