    I just want to drop this note as to why were all here. It's our passion one way or another, weather it's burning wood, pellets or coal it's in our blood.
    Who know's but maybe also to appreciate the simple things :)! As simple as warmth.
    My passion started out for saving money, now I wouldn't trade this for anything and I can afford things now.

    Today, in a long while we were at 12 degrees here, and I looked over at old Grandma Fisher and she is a toasty 400* and I'm sitting in a T-shirt and the room is at 82*:cool:

    Ladies and Gentleman, it doesn't get much better. Also along the way, I have met some "FANTASTIC" people, all of you! Who would think a bunch of crazy folks :loco: :crazy:who like to burn S#!T can have so much fun in one place and not even be looking at dirty pictures! "Stop it Eric" I know what your thinking! :zip: Anyway, I hope this new year brings enjoyment and happiness to all, new things and adventures and what ever it is that brings us all here, who cares… as long as we have an extended family like this, why would I want to go anywhere else! Here's to all of you!:drunk:

    Yes Dave, appreciating the simple things in life with wood heat being one of them. Also as you stated about the people here, more like extended family. They are great.

    Like Jon, I too have met a few of you folks and have yet to meet one I didn't like. Great folks.

    Fantastic people indeed! I came to the forum to learn a few simple things. I still keep learning every day and enjoy the great company! Extended family is a great way to put it WeldrDave! FHC is incredible!

    It is a good question WeldrDave. Why were all here. What do we crave?

    When we look around and see such a site. We have to sometimes wonder if people might be right.

    We haul it home so we can split and stack it nice and straight.

    Ya we may be a little different and all, having firewood stacks that could make a country's boarders. But what could be gooder than hanging with a bunch of firewood hoarders?

    Very nicely put Gasifier and WeldrDave Yes, I agree. We definitely are a very different group but a very nice one to hang around with. Imagine what it would be like if we all lived in the same town or state!! What GTGs we would have.

    Why don't you all just move to NH, we've already got the "Free State Project" here. It was us or Wyoming and they picked us, Liberty is strong here. Live Free or Die!

    Just for those of you who don't know. "Live Free or Die" is the official state motto of NH, it's on our license plates (tags to you southerners). Some of us take it seriously, kinda like the constitution and the bill of rights. You know, stuff nobody thinks is important any more.:(:(:(
