Great thread Haftacut, and I also applaud your parenting choices. This is what creates American entrepreneurs.
Thanks Chaz! I hope something sticks! If he can grow up to be handy and not afraid to work hard, I’ll consider myself a blessed man We’ll, I guess more of a blessed man I’m already blessed!
He had always done that since he was super little. His little tongue just sticks out the corner of his mouth while he is concentrating. So cute!
What parks? I’ve camped many and have only seen one at Harrisville state park. Actually camping at one right now.
That’s hilarious! That’s where I saw one. Have camped there twice but only remember it from the second time I went. They made a lot of improvements between my visits. Love swimming at Harrisville with the rocky bottom Assumed there must be vending at some of the other state parks but I could be wrong.
Parks aren’t full by any stretch but honestly more people this early than in the past. Pretty sure it’s a COVID thing, demand for new and used campers is pretty high. Would love to sell mine, it’s a sellers market but not so much a buyers so I’ll wait another year or two.
Congrats on raising your kid the right way!!!! He will learn the value of hard work and likely get motivated by it. Kids today generally are weak and lazy, further distracted by cell phones. He will learn life lessons from this, so my hat is off to you.
Scary to think what these cell phones are doing to us all! Sons in second grade and he’s got kids in his class that already have them. I think I’ll delay it as long as I can He is a good boy and we are pretty proud of him. Just trying to do our best and hope some of it sticks!
Likewise. My boy had a third grader sleepover and the kid had a phone. My kid knows he better not ask for a while
My son and I worked together yesterday afternoon to get started on his bundlewood stand. Nothing in it so far besides some leftover scrap lumber and a couple pallets. Had fun together doing it but had a slow start d/t breaking my chopsaw Gonna stop and grab some paint in the morning and some metal for the roof. Hope to have it out by the weekend.
Hey, brother. You are being a stand up dad and great role model for your son. As he gets older, let him pay for some of the gas or buy his own saw. Learn about cost and profit.
Thanks Jeff Definitely want him to learn the principles of hard work and reward. Today, I’m gonna have him paint it. He wants it to be red!
