The crew that I paid big bucks to install my first stove didn't leave a manual, or go over any cleaning schedule. It was like watching the Keystone Kops when they did the install. Can you imagine cutting a hole on the inside of the house that was a foot away form the outside hole! Good thing I had some extra house siding to replace the one they mess up on. Keep hearing you get what you pay for. I think not in this case. Last word I had was that they no longer for that company. Not the salesperson, or the installing crew.

Hahaha... Yeah. Sounds like a long week.

Hopefully it gets better soon. Tomorrow is Friday. TGIF :)

I have to work straight through the weekend, but for some people, Friday actually means something. I treat everyday like a Monday. Then your almost guaranteed to NEVER be disappointed.

Haha so true. It can be a long week when you are running around cleaning stoves and charging people $180 for it. They always gasp, "Are you serious, it only took you 30 minutes!".

Somehow I think that's better than if it actually needs to be repaired but I can understand their embarrassment.

The worst though, is when you are working on a stove that is in a house occupied by renters, because they literally don't give even a grain of a crap about how much it costs and the homeowner usually gets screwed.

Yeah my schedule evolves constantly. Usually do Tuesday-Saturday and Friday is never Friday for me. On Sunday when everyone is whining about Monday I'm guzzling a 12 pack of cold HopNotch!

Reading The Fine Manual isn't an option when they can't read and what is this schedule thing way to confining .

    Dealers here is some CYA.

When I install equipment there is a box to initial "product manual received & advised to thoroughly read contents"

Reason being, if you are in court, whether you equipment caused a fire or injury, whatever. The burden is on the contractor to demonstrate the technical bulletins were delivered to the user.

Sleazy lawyer " so maam, this so called professional installed a combustion appliance at your property & never delivered the manufacturers warning not to store gasoline cans on your pool heater?"

Slimy plaintiff " no he did not."

    yep.......lawyers......

the thing is, you can never CYA enough...........they just end up saying...."my first language is Lithuanian......I read it, but didn't understand it....now, woe is me, my house is gone because I didn't know I couldn't store gasoline on that pool heater......there was no Lithuanian version of the manual.......*sob*.....
