The 19 BX23S I wanted to ask you about (price wise) is sold now. I guess maybe it was a fair price.

Unless they are completely worn out, you can buy new links or complete pads and keep them going.

Again it sounds like you really put some though into how you would use your tractor. I’ve been around tractors and equipment all my life and that’s such a crucial thing that some fellers don’t do. I probably shouldn’t have said most but a lot of folks do move up. Tractors are similar to chainsaws in that it’s important to size it correctly for the tasks you will be performing most of the time. Seems like you did a great job of doing that. They are all capable of being incredibly useful tool.

We put new pins in them...and then the pads started wearing through one by one.... But putting in the new pins helped us extend the usage for a few more years !

A major thing is can you be reasonably comfortable using it.
I started looking at subs and honestly they could easily do what I need from it. Problem was I'm 6'4 and rather chunky. If ya know the monkey football thing then you get the picture.
That and really wanting a stick shift pushed me to the compact.
And think carefully about adding a backhoe. I bought my tractor and hoe in 08 and have never used it. Maybe you'll use the heck out of it but renting a mini excavator is way more efficient.

I have no idea what a fair price for a used tractor is anymore. I hear the used prices are getting close to new tractor prices...if u can find a new one on the lot lol

I was thinking ........TAD ( Tractor Attachment Disorder )

I just had to bail out of another thread about a mower for tractors for brush before it turned ugly and I don't even have any brush to deal with.

    I have that (TAD).
My EA grapple was the first attachment and now there’s probably 20 ea attachments out there. Plus a 2nd tractor (64 Ford 2000) to use them on. And I don’t even farm.

One thing I would like to have done differently with my Kubota L3301 would be to have gotten turf tires and use a ballast box as needed rather than Agricultural type tires filled with beet juice.
In Oklahoma when I bought it in 2015, it wasn’t an issue but here in Vermont it will rut the yard in a heartbeat.
You have to change rims and tires to do swap and I’m too cheap to make that switch.

Yes it is a bad disease for sure.
I went the exact same route as you , AG tires filled with beet juice.
Turf tires were an option when I bought it with an extra cost and I didn't want to spend the extra at the time , turf tires probably would have been a better choice but we live and learn. AG tires so far have not been too bad rutting things up as long as I go easy.

Just a shout out to my fellow hoarders for once again helping me spend my money! Just ordered a grapple for my little Deere 445 from Tractor Attachments.

TAD struck again. I’m still infected and it’ll keep spreading.

Well it has nothing to do with social media. This is the only forum I am a member at and don't really have any interest in any others.

No facecrook, Instaclam, tic-clock, NONE of it. Maybe some time on you-tube but that's always looking for information on something that I can use.

I know that I probably got CAD from BRAD ,
TAD on the other is like a self-inflicted gunshot wound, I did that all by myself.

Here's the real reason I got my grapple and 3rd function valve. It took less than 1 hr to clean out the bedding in our main lambing barn 20'x20', 1-2 ft deep. That used to take 2-3 times as long and was a lot more manual labor with just a bucket or pallet forks. PXL_20220326_184058692.jpg
