Dave I've been out a couple times, dodging the puddles, potholes, and frost heaves.. and don't forget sand. But the fresh feels good, and I've got the gear for it.

I'll be posting more vids soon. Not sure you saw these.

Still burning....just not as much. Have a small fire going right now that I'll keep burning at a minimum until the sun goes down and I'll pile more on.

It's kind of nice to burn like this. And it makes stove clean-up easy. Can let the fires go out completely and clean out a cool stove unlike when it's real cold, and I'm trying to scoop out ash amidst really hot coals.

Still burning 1-2 fires daily.. SC's are very handy during this time of year!

Yeah...I agree. 1/4 at a time. I bought a box of 50 in 2012, and I think I have enough for at least the first part of next winter. Pretty good investment.

We're still burning two fires per day too, I'm itching to start cutting some of the downed wood we have, big inventory buildup this year.

Still loading the boiler here. But it is on a diet now. Dam thing weighs close to a 1000 lbs. :emb:Sounds kind a like it needs a serious life style change.

24/7 until sometime in May. Just how it goes. Snowing like a sum- beyotch right now.

I'll burn a couple fires in May but it will be mostly at night. I'm just happy the snow is gone.

Been the the 30s at night here. Funny how just a few miles the weather is that different!
I have just been making a small fire at night for the last 2 weeks or so. Likely will shut it down soon.

Only burned about 2 cords this winter, usually burn around 3.

Had to shut it down fellas. The stove never went out since the week before Thanksgiving. Now its on to painful one off fires. It is sad to hear the furnace kick on burning that expensive propane though, but it is hard to deal with a 90 degree upstairs bedroom too!

I don't know, is it just me or is this "shoulder season" bearing down a little hard on the shoulders? Still burning 24/7.
Came home from work this morning through crappy sleet and white-outs. But on the bright side, when the snow melts I get to find rounds that I forgot about after they were buried by snow last fall. Every warm day is just like Easter:). They're talking a couple days this week close to 50- can't wait:axe:

This time of year pellets have it all over wood especially if controlled by a wall t-stat! Otherwise wood is just fine :)

My cordwood burning is controlled by wall stats all the time. Love it!
