Thanks, we were fine. Plenty of wood and a generator. We just tried to help out and check on others.

It still is, branches everywhere. I cut a lot of the trees into 6 and 8 footers, I'll need to cut them again to be able lift them into the truck and will be getting them back to the wood processing area. The snowmobile trail is impassable with 8 down trees just on my section of land, gonna have to start on that soon enough.

We got about 2" of snow overnight. A 2 hour delay was in the works for most schools around here but with freezing rain in the forecast (happening now) they made it a snow day. Seems kind of silly if you just look out the window but if you go outside and see all of the ice, it makes total sense. In my 24 years teaching, we've had 2 kids die in car accidents when we had school and probably shouldn't have. I will gladly go to school for another day in June than experience that again.

Been miserable here the last 4 days, blizzard over the weekend with 50 below wind chills, 20 below wind chill today. Wind switches to south west today so that's gonna suck hard (literally), been very intimate with the wood stove lately. I need a break.

Well around here winter seamed to come and go in about 2 weeks. Let mud season commence. Might be able to get something done outside several weeks from now. Notice the river running thru my front yard.

Giant mud mess here we have got about 2 inches of rain in the last 2 days and its just sitting on top of the thawing ground. I wanted to get to the back of my propety to check on some apple trees but I doubt thats happening now.
