Same here JT - co-workers all sick, 1st day off, guess who's not feeling well.. :picard:

A little cold this a.m., not much solar gain on the house today, will be steadily declining here until May '16.

Re-tuned the stove to 1.0 lb/hr on low setting (1), keeping the house comfortable, happy about that.

Today's theme for you burner's out there is the Blue Oyster Cult song "Burnin' for You".

Stay Warm (and Thirsty) my Friends. :handshake: :drunk:

Ugh. It was only supposed to get down to 40 here last night, so I shut down the pellet stove before bed. Woke up this morning, it was 34 outside and 60 inside. This is the 3rd time this season the temp has been quite a bit lower than they predicted. Oh well, at least it was a gorgeous day today. Hit 70 here for a little while.

Only drawback of the Harman is that thermostat. I set back my stove for when we sleep and an hour before we wake up I have the room come up to temp. Exactly like the furnace would do.

That being said, today was a perfect weather day. 72 in November, where do I sign up for more if this??

No, don't need to. Don't really want to either. I turn the temp down to 68 in room temp mode when I go to bed. The stove will shut down if it's not real cold out and when it gets down to 68 in the house, the stove will start. This time of year when I get up, the stove is shutting down because it came on during the night and got the house back up to 68 and shut down again. All based on the temp probe of the stove.

That's what I thought. Many people I believe are like myself and turn down the heat while sleeping and away during the day. I use that feature all heating season long.

No stove here tonight. It was a beautiful day in Northern Ohio today. Tomorrow should be the same. :)

Now if I could do something about these 10-11 hr days at work? The world would be a better place!!

Too bad, I am home all day with the heat on, but it does get into the 60s at night.

I do the same thing using the temp probe on the stove. My doesn't turn on and get the house up to 70 before I get up, but I don't turn it down to 64 either. That's another conversation in itself. By turning it down to 64 are you saving fuel or actually using more because everything cools off and then you have to heat it all back up? I have found the most efficient way to heat my house is to keep it warm and not let it cool down.

Programmable is nice, but it takes about 15 seconds to walk downstairs and change the temp before bed and in the morning.

Although I wouldn't mind a wireless upstairs to control temp of the stove in the basement.
