Nothing like a nice clean stove. On a side note I haven't fired up the BLAZERS yet but did open a bag for inspection and not digging the smell of these pellets.

    Stove looks real nice, Russell.

re: smelly pellets, what kind of smell? Earthy? Musty? Strong wood scent?

I understand, would have scored Blazers, given the choice.
Going to be heading out McManus fuels in a few weeks, plan on picking up some LaCrete's and Olympus Doug Firs to try out here.

Good choices ! I'll go with crayon ? I'm definitely picking up LA Crete this weekend , don't think BLAZER is going to be my high octane pellet .

Roasting LG Granules here as we speak, they're burning well - this batch ( 05/15 ) seems to have just a little more ash vs. the tonnage burned last season (12/14, 2/15) ..

Fire chamber is 568 degrees (F), exit temp @ heat exchanger center tube is 320 (F), exhaust probe, post combustion blower reports 294 (F) - I can't cook them any hotter: afraid I'll start burning paint off the stove..

Temps recorded w/ an IR Thermometer (not thermoprobe), feed setting is 1.4 lbs/hr.

Fired up a bag of Vermonts to check the stove as she had a bunch of problems last year. Kicked right on no problems. Using mostly dino juice and solar on those sunny days!
