Finally took pity on the citrus tree after the sleet this afternoon. Waited for a break in the precipitation and brought it in. Interestingly it still has the majority of its leaves, and they are green. Not the same with the native trees. [edited to add the "n"s that apparently my drunk fingers can't find - LOL]

No truck - went waqy above my price point. In fact, abaove KBB value (trade in or private sale). No worse off than I was before - and I was in a whole lot better shape than a lot of people.

Yeah, it was unbelievable; the price started where I pretty much expected, then I don't know, a couple of people who apparently couldn't let the other get it, went on a crazy bidding war. None of the others went for nearly that much (not that I stayed for the whole auction, but from what went before). Maybe they were afraid the other 8-10 of us interested would chime in at the last second. All I know is that I wouldn't even pay that price at a dealer!

Unfortunately not - the Explorer Sport Trac was discontinued in 2010, they are highly sought-after vehicles (especially the 2nd gen Sport Trac) / command a premium when they become available, which is uncommon.

They can have 'em...I have a sore spot for Ford which dates back to one of my personal vehicles and all the crappy Ford fleet vehicles we have at work. I won't get into that here....

This auctioneer is one you can understand. I would not hesitate to attend another auction that his particular firm holds. Everything went fast and smooth too.

The Ex had an old Ford that he turned into a flatbed. The acronym F*cked on regular days certainly fit it.

Yeah, I see that at a dealer used ones are going for 16k - for the older ones. Crazy! Maybe I'll look at Toyotas (if I actively look - the auction just caught my eye). I've had a couple Toyotas and the Ex had a couple - but those are so bullet proof that they command high prices too.

It takes a while to get the hang of it. Took me a few weeks at work too.
