Well. As a colleague said to me the other day, he has never read an accident report that started with “I was taking my time and being extremely careful…..”.
Pulled the wood splitter up to a pile of sassafras and poplar pile I've been wanting to get split and noticed the hitch was cracked. I guess I've been over loading the trailer and pulling too hard on the log arch.
They let you assume it's your life but really it's the parts life. Or life of the manufacturer. Either way its not usually in the customers favor. Reminds me of this seen from Tommy Boy.
I might make a thread but here’s the timing gears on my wood hauler. Ford 4.9 inline 6, was driving down the road last weekend and lost spark. Cam gear is toast, it’s a nylon material. I’ll have to pull the pan and clean all the teeth out. Yeah, she’s not going to get any spark like that.
At least you only have to clean up non metal debris. Looks a wee bit dirty, are you sure it wasn't binding in the valve train causing a over load of the gear?
