I feel for your friend. I was at a job one time wondering why all the plant workers were parking a block away and walking in, leaving what appeared to be prime parking spots along the tracks. Job site was where they fill rail cars with hot asphalt tar or whatever the technical name is for the stuff. It literally took 3 weeks of windows open to get the stench out of the truck.

I think I would be willing to spend a little time with a hammer/prybar/press/torch for that price!

But you are correct, I could have made steps for the whole fleet for 800$

Got a consumer grade chipper and put in a green oak tree... it was probably a little big(my fault) but it fit through the chute just fine... The company got a little upset when I posted these pics online... but, I eventually took the review down when they made it right. I returned the chipper for a new one and a couple months later, they sent me a notice of voluntary company blade recall with several sets of new blades.

I need to get that baby fired up again, I have some oak trees I need to get rid of.

I’d probably put a hose clamp over the electrical tape to help hold the tape down. You’ll get a better deal that way! :rofl: :rofl:

The frustrating thing is this truck was just “serviced” to be ready for the season. I know one of my coworkers(he likes to think he is the manager) put the tape on because we are “too swamped” to spend time on it. Well I had to stop what I was doing today to make the repair, took all of ten minutes. Then I was told about a coolant leak from the driver. The guy that “serviced” the truck was standing there and said I should look at the heater hose. How did he know the heater hose was bad? Because he noticed it and did nothing about it. What is wrong with people these days?

The vehicle is owned by the company that we work for. Doing what’s right will keep me employed in my mind.
