Whelp...let me drag out my slide rule.
pi(r2) x 5.5/128 plus a little extra for the roof I'm guessing around 9 full cords.

This summer, my brother, who isn't a FHC member although I keep telling him to join, decided to try something different with stacking his wood pile. I don't know the dimensions of his stacks but it looks like he had fun.

I don't know if the centre post is to support a top cover or not. I forgot to ask him.

Not a true Holzhausen, but have fun building them. Gets the friends and family talking.

Started de-construction today, perfect fall day, the plan is to take just the outer most ring.

Nice! I moved a bit into the house a week ago but haven't had to burn indoors yet. In fact I'm enjoying a nice juniper outdoor burn at this very moment.

That's a huge holz hausen! Very neat design!!

I made a small one a couple years ago. People would actually drive down the alley behind my house just to take pictures of it, not kidding.

People stop by all the time and ask if I sell. I tell them nope. Sorry. Sometimes we chat for a while about the hausens, or about splitting or axes or burning or all of the above.

I have 20 stacks atm. All are on top of 4 pallets with a little gap in between each pallet to maximize hausen size and to provide some airflow beneath the stacks.
