I had a lil test drinky(more than one but less than a dozen) with a Sammie Octoberfest......... Does that count. Certainly one of the good things of fall is the brews. Love me some octobermer fests...

Hickup, Burp... and a few :fart:for good measures..............

Had a small fire this AM as well. 44* outside, 66* in. I had a pound or so pellets left in the hopper from last year and toasted them. Put a fresh bag of Natures Own in the hopper this afternoon. All systems GO.

The three fires I've had were from pellets left in the hopper from last year. This afternoon, dumped in a previously opened bag that was still about 2/3 full (the leavings in the hopper consisted of part of the other 1/3). Supposed to colder tonight than last night, so I'm sure the stove will make fire. Just glad the wind died down with the sunset, less air filtration in the house.

Hmmm, wind seemed to be picking up here between 5 and 6PM and getting colder.

Weird - it was windy here all of yesterday (including early morning), but became basically still last night.

Yeah, I was outside doing one thing or another from about 11:30-5PM and didnt notice the wind until I came in, sat down and had a cup of coffee. Maybe I just didnt notice it.

Wait a second, I DO remember dumping the leaf/grass clippings into the compost pile and having a breeze blow it all over me

I guess I was enjoying the sunshine and warmish temps to care.

Showing 39 degrees here. No fire, no oil heat on. Still wearing shorts inside.

Likely the same here but I still hope the stove fairy stops by and cleans the stove soon.

Mornin everyone! Temps were floating around 40° when i woke up so i decided to fire up the hastings for a test run. I gave it a deep cleaning and oil a few weeks ago. I also removed the room air blower and cleaned the crap out of it! Hopefully it's a little quieter this season. The dust build up on that thing was incredible! :emb:

Fired up the E2 this morning as the windows were left open and it was 36 deg. out this morn. A little worried about the t stat now that Skeeter had to go to a wired unit, but she fired right up with last years Pro pellets I think. I will do a deep clean this week, removing the fans and cleaning the chimney. Wanted to ride today, but going to help son work on a car, so I have to go to the shop. Rarely/never work on car/truck on Sunday so he better appreciate it !
