My house was 66ºF, But had plenty of pellets in the hopper. I didn't remember to reprogram the stat from the away temp. Luckily the wifey slept in and I was able to bump it up to 71ºF before she noticed. No harm to fowl........

Must thank the dog for getting me up at 6:30, Or I would be speakin a different tale!!

The lone pitfall of having hopper extensions so the stove can hold 2.5 bags of pellets - sometime you forget to check the level. Actually the issue was the incessant wind for a couple of days - made the P43 fire more than usual at these fairly mild temps temps (high 20's to low 40's).

Took me a bit to get used to my 120 pound hopper. Mild days I check every other, Cold its every day.

Someday I'll rig a level sensor and mount it near the stat which not only myself, But the boss also checks.

It was much easier when I had the lil stove. I just filled it every time i got hungry. ;)

    120lb

Harman had their head up their arse with a 76lb hopper on the P68.

    76 lbs????? 40 x 2 = 80
Maybe they thought the 25lb bag from MWP would be the new normal :picard:

Well, to be fair, I've never found a "40 pound" hopper to actually hold that much. The former Hastings actually held closer to 32-35. I could never fit a full bag in there regardless of whether the pellets were uniformly small, uniformly long, or a mixture of the two . So maybe Harman is leaning toward more truthful advertising? Still, you're right, make it 1 or 2 bags (or 3), not somewhere in between.

Got up a bit ago and the house was 75 F with the big Whit Churning away.

Noooooooooooooooooo, too warm, so off with the beast.

Surprisingly it is only low 40's F outside, but there is little wind this morning and the air is very heavy.

Gonna wait until later this morning to rekindle the fire.

Gonna have company later and don't want the shack unbearably warm.

Might have to switch back to the Weeee stove.

Depends on pellet density from what the stove reps say........ I have yet to find a pellet I can get all 120 LBS in. Average pellet is more like 100 LBS ish?? So I just stick 2 in and be done. No need to force em in the corners unless we go away over night!! Too time cumbersome to fiddle with the getting every last corner full.

I use mine as a 2 bagger mostly and add once I can get one full bag in, Never completely fill(stuff the corners) and leave any bags hangin around with little in em. Basically once it gets to 1/2 full(or empty) When I can add a full bag without wasting time trying to get it all in. Hate the way I used to have to completely fill the old lil stove to make it through them cold nights. No need with this one. And I hate the half empty kicker bags hanging about. If I slip and its near empty I just toss in 2(hence the 2 bagger) and be done.

IIRC yours had a supposed capacity of 140 pounds? One of the largest I saw besides some of the furnace's.

I can fit some 3 bags but I doubt I could close the hopper lid. And I'd really have to stuff the corners. And it would have to be dead empty. Don't usually go there that often. And some pellets hang in the hopper and leave 10 or so pounds unless there dusty as heck. Plus I'm lazy!

In the 3 years I've owned this Enerzone, it's ran out of fuel 29 times. :) Which I consider a lot because we use the furnace when temps get below freezing!!

I wish it didn't keep count of all the times I've forgot!!
