Hi all! Been burning a bit this past month. Yesterday VT Renewable Fuels delivered just shy of 3 tons of bulk fill Green Mountain Pellets. Forecast here in northern Vermont for much of the next week is in the low 50's. I'll run the stove in the mornings and evenings for an hour or so. We seem to be starting off temp wise, just like last year.....very mild:(

Had another night with the stove off.

Lit the fire this morning to get the house warmed up again.

Looking like things are going to change real soon though with much cooler weather coming up.

Likely be back to a 24/7 fire

I was looking at my small stash, about 1.5 tons left over from last year and started worrying about when to order to finish the winter. After reviewing the long-range forecasts, I'm confident they'll be plenty of private deals and the box stores that yet again established a $2.59/ton price for this season will have to reconsider as the season wears on. Oil should remain stable or drop in price based on projected supplies so there is virtually no reason to buy now unless I see an ad that someone is moving, or their stove broke, or whatever other reasons sellers use when getting out of pellet burning.

Did a first clean on the Accentra yesterday and slapped the Fahrenheit together but still waiting for temps to stay low for a long stretch to fire it up. Temps are up & down so the Harman is doing the job for now.

The Euromax is a very nice stove (70,000 btu), but my Eurostar is still 50,000 and does a very good job on a low setting!!

The bottom feed is almost like Harmans (almost...). and the heat exchange system on the Enerzone units are amazing!!

I just started hearing if your power goes out smoke will back up into your house . Is that the case with all pellet stoves ? I do have a generator but it's not automatic I will have to start her up and move the transfer switch.

It depends on your circumstances. If you have a decent vertical rise and natural draft, then you may not get any smoke in the house. We have lost power here before multiple times with the P68 running and never had smoke in the house. You could always test it and see what will happen in your scenario.

Same here on a P68. I have about 4 feet of vertical. No real smoke or even smoke detector alarms but you can smell it when power goes out.

    Yep...

And yep! A Classic Bay 1200 with High/Low? Best of both worlds!!

But my Enerzone is a great stove. Very efficient, super easy to clean, and self troubleshoots.

Why all stoves don't have hi/lo is one of life's greatest mysteries.

I don't know how Hi/Lo works but I can't picture it being better than the way the Harman's operate.

Does your stove go to a low or maintenance burn to a higher burn to keep your temp even? If so you have hi/lo.
